The report goes further, saying, “Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that one of the main reasons for Madrid’s visit was Scott, with the Spanish giants having already watched the Bournemouth star on multiple occasions.” It also adds, “We understand Madrid have seen Scott at least three times, including Bournemouth’s Europa League victory over Real Sociedad in Spain last month.”

That level of scouting matters. It points to more than casual interest and suggests Scott is being assessed seriously within a wider strategic process. Real Madrid do not need to move on every player they watch, but repeated checks usually indicate internal approval is being built.

Liverpool’s need in midfield remains part of the wider squad conversation under Andoni Iraola.
