In a summer where Barcelona already had to let go of Robert Lewandowski, the departure of Ferran Torres to PSG served as a double whammy for the club, who were lacking a designated number nine.

Torres joined PSG on the back of a successful World Cup campaign, with the forward notably scoring the winning goal in the final against Argentina.

Before his departure, though, Torres raised many eyebrows with his comments on how Barcelona must prove their loyalty to him, in order for him to sign a new contract.

Following his departure, the Barcelona locker room often jest about Ferran Torres’ exit to PSG, reports El Pais .

It appears the general opinion is that Ferran Torres was given many opportunities to prove himself at Barcelona.

“He used to complain that the club didn’t care about him, but we haven’t seen a player who got more opportunities at Barcelona than him”, those in the locker room comment, sarcastically.

Keeping that in mind, the fact that Ferran complained about Barcelona not caring enough about him is something that most players in the Barcelona locker room can’t comprehend.
