Sunderland midfielder Enzo Le Fee has committed his long-term future to the club by signing a new contract until the summer of 2031.

The 26-year-old has established himself as an important figure at the Stadium of Light since initially joining on loan from Roma in January 2025.

His move became permanent following Sunderland’s promotion from the Championship, and he has subsequently played a major role in the club’s impressive progress under Regis Le Bris.

Le Fee made 36 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign, contributing five goals and six assists as Sunderland finished seventh in their first Premier League season back in the top flight.

That achievement also secured European qualification, completing a remarkable rise for a club that had been competing in League One as recently as 2022.

Le Fee has continued to deliver this season and recently scored the winner against AZ Alkmaar on Sunderland’s return to European competition after an absence of more than five decades.

The Frenchman converted from the penalty spot in the second half to secure a 1-0 Europa League victory at the Stadium of Light.

His new agreement represents another significant show of commitment to Sunderland’s developing project, extending his previous contract by two years.
