Palmeiras steamrolled Corinthians in Sunday's (11) Brasileirão derby, winning 4-1.

Alexander Barboza, Agustín Giay (2) and Matheus Bidu (own goal) scored for the hosts at Nubank Parque.

Gustavo Henrique found the net for Corinthians with the last kick of the match.

The winning margin could easily have been even bigger. Returning from another injury layoff, Paulinho missed a penalty he had won himself with the score at 4-0.

This was the eighth consecutive league defeat for Corinthians, who sacked coach Fernando Diniz last Wednesday (7).

Clarence Seedorf was announced by the club on Sunday as his replacement for the remainder of the season.

Palmeiras now turn their attention to the Libertadores semifinals, where they will face Fluminense.
