Ronald Araujo has been a revelation since his arrival in Merseyside, and the Uruguayan has established himself already.

Although initially signed as a central defender Araujo has already made a compelling case to become the club's first choice right-back, at least until Conor Bradley returns to full fitness.

The 27-year-old had been Barcelona's captain but came to Liverpool on loan looking for a fresh start, and he may well have found his new home.

The Reds have an option to buy in their deal with Barca and, while it remains unclear whether the club will activate the clause, Andoni Iraola has dropped a hint that Araujo could be sticking around.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool visit to Bournemouth on Sunday, the Reds' new boss gave some insight into his relationship with the loanee.

Iraola's words were overwhelmingly positive, describing the good relationship between the pair and the confidence that the manager has in his new man.

"Sometimes you talk to a player and you can feel straight away that everything was positive."

"I like his spirit. Now I'm pushing him to learn a little bit the language because a good way for us to use his experience is if he could communicate better with the teammates and use all the experience that he has, but I suppose it will take some time."
