Liverpool are continuing to monitor Brentford winger Kevin Schade as the Germany international enters an important stage of his career at club level.

According to a report from Sky Sports , Brentford have opened initial discussions with Schade over a new long term contract, with Liverpool and Arsenal both understood to be keeping a close watch on his situation.

Schade has made an encouraging start to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, scoring three times as Brentford have remained unbeaten across their opening five matches.

Those results have taken Brentford into fourth place, with victories over Tottenham and Chelsea complemented by three draws. Schade’s performances have naturally attracted attention, with several leading Premier League clubs having followed his progress over a longer period.

Chelsea and Tottenham have previously been linked with the 24 year old, although Sky Sports reports that Arsenal and Liverpool showed the strongest interest towards the end of the summer transfer window.

For Liverpool, the interest is particularly notable as Andoni Iraola continues to shape his squad and establish his methods at Anfield.

Schade joined Brentford from SC Freiburg for £20m in June 2023 and still has two years remaining on his current agreement.

Brentford are therefore keen to improve his terms and secure his future, particularly given his growing importance to Thomas Frank’s former club and his increasing profile internationally.
