Milan want to tie Adrien Rabiot down until 2030, with the France midfielder enjoying an outstanding start to the season.

According to the Corriere dello Sport , talks over a new deal are under way, and the club hope to have it signed before the end of 2026. Initial contact has been made with his mother, who acts as his agent, and Milan are ready to offer him a pay rise.

The move would follow Strahinja Pavlovic’s renewal earlier this week.

Rabiot has three goals and three assists in eight games this season, an improvement on an already productive first campaign at the club. He was involved in all three of Alphadjo Cisse’s goals in Thursday’s 4-0 Europa League win in Salzburg. He started the moves for the first two and supplied the third himself with a perfectly weighted pass.

Freed from defensive duties in Austria, he thrived in a more advanced role, and Ruben Amorim could use him there again.

Rabiot joined from Marseille for around €7.4m last year, largely because of his relationship with Massimiliano Allegri. He chose to stay after talks with the club during the summer and has started every game under Amorim. Sunday’s visit of Atalanta should be no different.

From a tactical formation and squad depth perspective, "Milan open talks to extend Rabiot contract until 2030" carries substantial tournament implications for international seeding and domestic campaign momentum. Coaching staffs are heavily weighing high-pressing efficiency (PPDA), defensive transition pace, and fixture fatigue management.

Tactical analysts monitoring Live Scores metrics emphasize that squad adaptability and set-piece execution will likely dictate outcomes in high-leverage knockout environments. Real-time match telemetry and tracking data continue to inform managerial decision-making.
