It is to be noted that Barcelona considered a move for Nicolo Tresoldi during the summer transfer window as they searched for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker’s departure left a significant gap in the squad, with Julian Alvarez initially identified as Barcelona’s preferred target.

Complications surrounding a deal for the Atletico Madrid forward forced the club to examine other options, with Tresoldi emerging as one of the alternatives.

Barcelona showed concrete interest in the 21-year-old , but the deal ultimately failed to progress because of Club Brugge’s €50 million valuation.

Tresoldi was viewed as a possible solution to Barcelona’s search for a new centre-forward, but the asking price quickly became the main obstacle.

Club Brugge valued the German youth international at around €50m, a figure Barcelona considered too high given their financial limitations. The Catalan club therefore decided against pursuing the transfer.

That brought an end to their interest in a striker who had been identified as a potential alternative after the complications surrounding Alvarez.
