Bayern Munich are set to offer French international attacking midfielder Michael Olise (24) a new long-term contract to extend his stay with the club, according to a report from BILD . The Bundesliga giants are aiming to retain the services of the former Crystal Palace playmaker and deter interest from other clubs after a summer transfer window fuelled with rumours regarding his long-term future in Bavaria.

Real Madrid were at the front of the queue to sign the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window. However, with Bayern refusing to negotiate with the La Liga outfit, the Spanish capital club were forced to look elsewhere to reinforce the options of Jose Mourinho. PSG were also linked with a move for the Frenchman. Even now the window has closed, the rumour mill continues to link the attacking midfielder with a move away from Germany.

In a bid to extend the attacker’s stay in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich are preparing to offer Olise a contract extension with a substantial pay rise. If the Chelsea academy graduate was to accept the terms, this would extend his stay in Bavaria for a further 6 years. His current contract is set to expire in 2029.
