Meanwhile, the duo of Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde has shown significant shortcomings in the midfield, and it is clear that the team needs a player to replace Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

In this regard, SPORT cites the journalist Miguel Serrano to report that Real Madrid are interested in the Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott to mitigate their issues in midfield.

The Englishman has been impressing for Bournemouth since his signing in 2023 from Bristol City for around €25 million. He started off as an attacking midfielder, but has progressively moved deeper on the field, lately playing more as a number 6. Versatility in midfield, ability to progress with the ball at his feet, and ball recovery are some of his strongest attributes.

Last season, he played 34 Premier League games for Bournemouth, and has become one of the most in-demand midfielders in English football. In fact, the Premier League side has already rejected offers from other English giants, like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, as they value him at around £80 million.

For now, it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will further their interest in Alex Scott or whether Jose Mourinho will find another solution to his midfield problems from the options he has currently at hand.
