In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Liverpool are showing interest in re-signing Real Madrid full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. It has been mentioned that the Reds would have to rival Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to land the English talent next year.

Alexander-Arnold has struggled to make himself a regular starter for the Madrid club this season, but has put in a couple of decent performances for them on the right flank. The 27-year-old has registered one assist in five matches for Los Blancos in this campaign so far across all fronts.

The English defender remains one of the most talented right-backs in Europe. Hence, it is no wonder that the Reds are among the clubs hoping to bring him back to England next year.

His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on the cheap this January or at the end of this season.

Alexander-Arnold is a good tackler of the ball but can be a bit vulnerable when defending inside his half. However, he can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range.

The English talent has the vision to engineer some promising opportunities for his teammates to find the back of the net. Alexander-Arnold can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the right-back position. He is already quite familiar with the Merseyside club from his successful spell with them and won’t take any time to settle into life in the Premier League.

We can expect Alexander-Arnold to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola’s defence. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Anfield in the coming years.
