Tottenham’s recruitment has often been most persuasive when it has looked beyond the obvious, searching for players before the market hardens around them. That is why the growing interest in Nicolò Tresoldi feels noteworthy. According to FlashScore , Spurs are among the clubs closely following the Club Brugge forward after an encouraging opening to the season.

The 22-year-old has, in the source’s words, “started the season strongly” and placed himself “firmly on the radar of clubs looking for potential forward additions”. Those are not throwaway lines. They describe a player moving from curiosity to credible option, helped by output that is difficult to ignore.

Tresoldi has “scored five club goals in nine appearances so far this season” and “also grabbed a hat-trick for Germany Under-21s against Malta this week”. For a modern striker, numbers are only the beginning, but they remain the first argument. They create the invitation for deeper analysis.

European competition will now shape the next phase of scrutiny. FlashScore notes that upcoming matches against Inter and Liverpool offer “another opportunity to watch him at the highest level”. For clubs such as Tottenham, those fixtures matter because they test whether promise can survive the compression of elite football, where space shrinks and decisions must arrive early.

One of Tresoldi’s goals already came against Aston Villa in the Champions League, in a game Brugge lost 3-2. Even so, “sources suggest Villa have been impressed by what they have seen from Tresoldi.” That interest appears cautious rather than advanced. “There is no suggestion yet that Villa are ready to make a move,” though they plan to keep assessing him.

Tottenham’s stance is similar. “Tottenham have also been tracking Tresoldi and are expected to continue doing so over the coming weeks and months.” It is a familiar kind of observation period, one designed to separate hot form from lasting substance. Yet the report adds that “his form for both club and country has strengthened the case for further assessment”.

From a Spurs perspective, this makes a lot of sense. Supporters have seen enough transfer windows to know that the clever deals are usually the ones made a little before everyone agrees on a player’s value. Tresoldi feels like that type of profile, young, upwardly mobile, and already collecting experience in meaningful matches.

What stands out most is the setting in which he is being judged. Goals in ordinary league matches can flatter a forward, but interest sharpened by Champions League performances is more persuasive. If he can look comfortable against Inter and Liverpool, then Spurs will have learned something significant about his temperament, movement and readiness.
