According to a new report from Fussball News , an outlet based in Germany, Liverpool are one of several teams chasing the central defender, alongside Real Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The report claims that the Spanish side would require a bid of €50 million (~£43m), a fee that Liverpool would more than likely be able to afford.

Jacquet arrived at Anfield for £60 million in the summer, so if the club’s recruitment team view Martin as a potential long-term partner for the Frenchman £43m would be a reasonable fee.
