How many times have the Spanish giants come to haunt the Reds. Sure, Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world but it still feels unfair that they have exacted so much misery on Liverpool.

From beating the Reds in multiple Champions League finals to taking their best players.

It all started with Steve McManaman. He was one of Liverpool's very own. An academy lad, one of the best players at the club in the 1990s.

That is until his contract expired and Real Madrid took him on a free transfer. Next was Michael Owen, then Xabi Alonso and then of course the most infamous of them all - Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Ibrahima Konate has followed suit since, and hopefully he will be the last.

It feels like the Spanish giants are losing their might a little bit. Barcelona has once again become the team to beat in Spain playing exciting collective football under Hansi Flick.

On the other hand, Real Madrid has been mired in controversy. There are so many egos around the club. It's hard to keep up to date with all the drama inside the dressing room.
