Liverpool considered Endrick during the summer, including the possibility of a permanent transfer, but Real Madrid refused to entertain his departure, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Brazilian forward’s limited involvement has prompted fresh speculation about his future. Romano’s latest YouTube update, however, presents a more complicated picture than a young striker simply waiting for permission to leave.

Injury affected his availability at the start of the season, while Madrid’s position during the summer was firm. Liverpool showed interest, but did not turn it into a formal proposal.

His next few months in Spain could now help determine whether the conversation changes.

Romano identified Liverpool as one of the clubs who considered Endrick during the summer, while drawing a distinction between their interest and the more active approaches elsewhere.

Liverpool “never presented any sort of proposal”, he said.

The reporter added that the club had considered buying the forward, rather than looking solely at a temporary arrangement. That is a notable detail, although it does not establish that Liverpool reached a decision to pursue a permanent deal.

There was no bid for Madrid to accept or reject from Liverpool, according to this account.
