According to Mundo Deportivo , FC Barcelona are working on a new contract for Sama Nomoko, one of the club’s major future prospects from La Masia .

The 18-year-old winger is currently contracted until 30 June 2027, but the club want to secure his long-term future with a new deal.

The intention is to extend his contract and tie him down to the club for a few more years, although the matter is not currently considered a priority.

Nomoko is one of the young talents who have developed through La Masia . Born in 2008, the winger stands out for his pace, ability to beat defenders and capacity to make runs into the area.

His progression earned him a move up to Barça Atletic, before he suffered a major setback at the end of 2025 just as he was beginning to feature more regularly for the reserve team.

During a UEFA Youth League match against Eintracht Frankfurt, Nomoko injured his right knee. Tests confirmed an ACL tear , together with injuries to both menisci, and he subsequently underwent surgery.

Before his injury, he had made 14 appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

The club’s medical staff estimated a recovery period of around 12 months. Despite the lengthy rehabilitation, Barça continue to have confidence in the player.
