AS Monaco are reported to have begun talks with the entourage of Vanderson (25) to reach an agreement on a contract extension for the Brazilian, according to L’Équipe .

Under contract until 2028, the full-back is said to be one of the players – alongside Paris Brunner (20), in particular – that the Monaco management would like to secure on a long-term basis.

Having arrived on the Rock in the summer of 2022, Vanderson has experienced numerous ups and downs since his arrival in France. Capable of stringing together performances of the very highest standard, he has also suffered multiple injuries that have hampered his rise to the top.

Often rumoured to be on his way out, the Brazilian has finally established himself at Monaco, where he had a difficult 2025-26 season (two assists in 23 appearances), but where he seems to have regained his full form since the start of the 2026-27 season – he has started every one of the seven matches played by ASM.
